Food Safety Guidelines During Delivery

Food safety during delivery is crucial to ensure that food remains safe to eat and free from contamination. With CaterSpot's being ISO 22000 certified, we have implemented a couple of guidelines based on the food safety requirements.

Below are the key guidelines that applies to both CaterSpot Delivery & Vendor Delivery:

1. Proper food packaging

  • Use airtight and leak- proof containers to prevent contamination and spills during transportation.
  • Separate raw and cook foods to avoid cross-contamination.
  • All food should be properly sealed before transportation.
  • Ensure packaging can withstand the food temperatures.
  • Caterers are required to display the Halal logo (if applicable) and the Eat by Time in buffets and individual meals

2. Hygiene practice for handlers

  • Delivery personnel should sanitize their hands before and after handling the food.
  • Avoid touching the food directly - Always use gloves or utensils if necessary.
  • Wear clean and appropriate clothing.

3. Secure transportation

  • Always use insulated delivery bags (warmer bags) while delivering individual meals.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean and used exclusively for food transportation.
  • Vehicles, warmer bags and any food-transferring containers must be cleaned immediately upon spillage and at the end of the working day regardless of spillage.

4. Minimize delivery time

  • Plan efficient routes to reduce food travel time.
  • Delivery food immediately after preparation to maintain quality and safety.

Adhering to these guidelines helps ensure food remains safe from preparation to delivery.
